About a month ago I was watching one of those home improvement shows that help families get their homes ready to sell. In this particular episode they focused on the homeowner’s front yard. There were a number of issues, including the dry, brown grass. Much to my surprise the solution was to spray paint it green. Yes you read that correctly.
I hadn’t given that episode much thought until a few days ago, when I was having coffee with a colleague. This individual had made what I would call a “grass is always greener on the other side” life decision a few years back. It turns out that phrase should come with a warning – Beware the grass isn’t always greener, on the other side – sometimes it is just spray paint.
